Interview with Dr. Yanli He, the Creator of 2024 Global Motherhood Leadership Summit in Miami

Mr. Hodgen: Hello everyone. I’m here with Dr. Yanli, the President and CEO of the Post-Pandemic Leadership Research Institute. It’s great to see you again, Dr. Yanli.

Dr. Yanli: Hello, Mr. Ralph. Hello, everyone. I’m happy to be here.

Mr. Hodgen: From September 28-30, the Post-Pandemic Leadership Research Institute will be hosting the first ever Global Motherhood Leadership Summit in Miami. Motherhood leadership seems like a new and fascinating concept. Could you explain what it is?

Dr. Yanli: Motherhood leadership refers to the unique traits, skills, and perspectives that mothers bring to both their family lives and professional roles. I believe that the qualities, perspectives, and care that mothers have can significantly influence leadership styles, decision-making, and interpersonal relationships in the workplace. Conversely, the leadership wisdom, vision, communication skills, and perspectives developed in professional settings can positively impact their family relationships, children’s development, and overall well-being.

Mr. Hodgen: That’s wonderful! Could you tell us a bit more about what the upcoming Motherhood Leadership Summit will cover?

Dr. Yanli: The three-day Motherhood Leadership Summit will focus on four key themes:

  1. Unique Leadership Traits of Mothers: This theme explores how mothers often develop a deep sense of empathy and compassion through their caregiving roles, which can translate into more supportive and understanding leadership.
  2. Leadership Behaviors: This focuses on how managing the demands of parenting, while balancing other responsibilities, can enhance a mother’s ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  3. Leadership Dynamics: This theme discusses the challenges of motherhood that require quick thinking and adaptability, fostering resilience and strong problem-solving skills—valuable assets in any leadership role. Additionally, mothers often navigate complex family dynamics, which hones their skills in effective communication and collaboration—essential qualities for leading teams and organizations.
  4. Virtual Team Leadership for Mothers: This explores how mothers benefit from virtual work, as it allows them to work from home while taking care of their children and families. This is a unique area for mothers, and I believe they have many valuable stories to share with us.

Mr. Hodgen: Thank you, Dr. Yanli. The Global Motherhood Leadership Summit (GMLS) brings innovation, harmony, and sustainability to the realms of family and leadership. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from some of the most influential figures in motherhood leadership.

Dr. Yanli: Additionally, children and spouses are more than welcome to participate in any of the discussions. We are look forward to seeing you in Miami. Thank you very much!
